How to support Michelle

Time and money are tight for most but there are many small ways to make a big difference - like/share/write a post, make a small (monetary or in kind) donation, volunteer for a few hours and/or share an endorsement.  If you live in Ward 2, you can request a lawn/window sign and/or especially pledge your vote!  Michelle's biggest hurdle is competing with candidates who represent those who can make larger donations.

Candidates that speak for traditionally under-represented people need many smaller donations to be competitive with candidates who represent those who can make larger donations.  The bulk of donations pay for lawn signs and advertising.  

Any individual who lives in Ontario can contribute up to $1200 per candidate and a total of $5000 to candidates in Guelph.  If you donate more than $100, your name and address will be recorded on Michelle's financial statement and be part of the public record.   

Donations by eTransfer to donate@bowman4ward2.ca with your (required) Email and home addresses work best but let us know if you would like to donate another way.  Michelle can accept cash donations up to $25.  

Do you have a skill you would like to share instead?  If you have charged for the skill you donate, it is considered an in kind donation.  You could take photos, organize/host an event/ workshop, make signs - other ideas welcome!

Volunteer


Michelle believes elections are an opportunity to build more connected communities rather than just sound bites and signs.      

Support Michelle by doing what you enjoy, trying something new or anything in between.  The possibilities are bound only by our collective imaginations!

  • talking to people in your circles, 
  • posting & tagging Michelle online and/or
